Summary
RMO No. 14-2005, issued June 6, 2005, sets policies and procedures for conferring the Commissioner’s Award for outstanding performance in handling stopfiler cases.
Key points
- The award. It is given every year to deserving Revenue District Offices (RDOs), Stopfiler Group Supervisors and Case Officers for their stopfiler case management. Awardees receive a monetary award and a symbol of recognition.
- Selection of awardees. Awardees are chosen from each of the seven (7) regions covering the computerized RDOs, plus one (1) from the Large Taxpayers Service. Regional offices monitor and evaluate the RDOs under their jurisdiction.
- Criteria for RDOs. RDOs are evaluated on the total number of stopfiler cases closed, the amount collected from closed cases and the rate of decrease in the volume of stopfiler cases.
- Criteria for individuals. Group Supervisors and Case Officers are evaluated on the number of stopfiler cases closed for TAMP and non-TAMP cases and the amount collected from them.
