Summary

RMC No. 69-2009 reminds selected taxpayers that they must enroll in and use the Electronic Filing and Payment System (eFPS) to file returns and pay taxes due.

Key points

  1. Taxpayers required to use eFPS. These are large taxpayers under RR No. 2-2002 and all government bidders under RR No. 3-2005. They also include corporations with paid-up capital stock of Ten Million Pesos (P 10,000,000.00) and corporations with a complete computerized system, both under RR No. 10-2007.
  2. Top taxpayer lists. Taxpayers on the Top 20,000 Private Corporations list under Section 2.57.2(M) of RR No. 2-98, as last amended by RR No. 14-2008, in relation to RR No. 5-2004, are covered. So are those on the Top 5,000 Individual Taxpayers list under RR No. 6-2009.
  3. Monthly withholding tax returns. Staggered filing of the returns and payment of taxes due follows the industry groups listed under RR No. 26-2002. Final VAT withheld and percentage tax withheld are the exceptions: these are filed and remitted on or before the 10th day of the following month after withholding.
