Key points
- Self-service facilities. These are the BIR Website (www.bir.gov.ph) and social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and YouTube), with information on getting a TIN, business registration, filing returns and paying taxes. Others are eFPS and eBIRForms.
- Third party solutions. Taxpayers may also use tax solutions of third party providers that passed certification through the Electronic Software Provider Certification (eTSPCert) System.
- Assisted channels. Taxpayers can attend tax seminars, briefings, dialogues and consultations by National Office and regional or district personnel. Queries by telephone or e-mail go to the Customer Assistance Division (formerly BIR Contact Center), and printed information materials are distributed at seminars and posted on the website and bulletin boards.
- Written requests and counters. Written requests for information follow the Freedom of Information (FOI) Manual. Taxpayer Service Counters and eLounges are in Revenue District Offices and the National Office.
