Key points
- Rate increases. For BIR Form 2000, the rate rises by 100% for DS 101, 102, 104 to 109, 112, 114 to 121, 125, 126 and 130 to 132, except DS 106 which rises by 50% only. For BIR Form 2000-OT, DS 102 and 125 rise by 100%.
- eFPS filers of Form 2000. They use the existing form, choose the ATC and nature of transaction, then replace the system-computed tax due with the correct amount at the new rate. They then file and pay the corrected amount.
- eBIRForms filers. They file with the existing form and pay online through GCash, LBEPS or BDPTO, or over the counter at Authorized Agent Banks. The deficiency tax is filed and paid using BIR Form No. 0605 with ATC MC 031 (Deficiency Tax), entering Tax Type DS or DO.
- Manual filers. They fill in the form at the new rates and file and pay manually at Authorized Agent Banks under their Revenue District Office.
- Taxpayer responsibility. Taxpayers must declare and pay the correct tax. Deficiencies found in validation or audit carry the applicable penalties.
