Key points
- What employees must do. Employees schedule, start and finish meetings and activities on time, and assign and complete work within prescribed deadlines. They notify the person who assigned the deadline if delay is expected, adjust to unexpected events, manage time to avoid RUSH jobs and expedite action on taxpayer cases.
- Initial activities. OT:BT clocks are distributed to all offices, and On Time becomes a Key Performance Indicator in the 2010 Performance Evaluation System of BIR officials. The Corporate Communications Division (CCD) shares On Time tips by email, the BIR Monitor, the BIR website and bulletin boards.
- Best practices and awards. Time management best practices are shared during Staff meetings. Employees who submit best practices to the CCD that are then implemented Bureau wide receive awards and prizes.
- OT:BT teams. All BIR offices form OT:BT teams to carry out the initiative and recommend best practices to the CCD. Heads of offices submit the names of the team heads to the CCD not later than January 15, 2010.
