Summary
RMO No. 9-2020, issued March 3, 2020, prescribes guidelines for preparing the BIR Weekender Briefs.
CollapseExpand
Key points
- Weekly cutoff. Entries reach the Internal Communications Division at weekender_entries@bir.gov.ph not later than Thursday (5:00 PM) to be in that week’s layout. If a holiday falls in the week, the cutoff is the day before the last working day, for example Wednesday if Friday is a holiday.
- Late or undated entries. Major events outside the cutoff period (Friday of last week to Thursday of current week), including entries with no date, are not in that week’s issue. They are considered for the BIR Monitor.
- When to send. Entries should be sent, as far as possible, a day after the event to avoid an accumulation that makes email difficult.
- Other guidelines. The Order specifies which entries are retained, published or dropped, and the guidelines for photo captions and sending photos.
