Summary
RMO No. 86-2010 prescribes revised guidelines and procedures for publishing the top individual and top corporate taxpayers.
Key points
- RDO lists. Each RDO publishes its top 300 individual income taxpayers by June 30 and its top 150 corporate income taxpayers by November 30 every year. The lists are based on income tax due for the preceding taxable year.
- Submission to ISOS. RDOs send the lists to the Information Systems Operations Service (ISOS) by May 31 for individuals and by October 31 for corporations.
- National lists. ISOS consolidates and validates the lists, generates the top 2,000 individual taxpayers nationwide and publishes the top 500 on the BIR website by September 30. It also generates the top 1,000 corporate taxpayers and publishes the top 500 by December 31.
- Project Head. The Assistant Revenue District Officer is the Project Head. The Head monitors the baseline lists during filing deadlines, updates them if needed and watches the quality of data encoded in the Integrated Tax System.
