CollapseExpand
Key points
- BIR-LRA Tax Verification System. An electronic linkage between the BIR and the Land Registration Authority (LRA), called the BIR-LRA Tax Verification System (BLTVS), lets the LRA-Registry of Deeds (RD) verify the authenticity of documents presented for land transfers.
- Checking BIR clearances. The linkage lets the BIR check that all such transfers have corresponding BIR clearances.
- Registration condition. The LRA-RD will not register any taxable instrument or issue a Transfer Certificate of Title unless the Tax Clearance/Certificate Authorizing Registration presented by the taxpayer is verified with the BIR.
Who is affected
