RMO No. 43-2024 prescribes the implementation and maintenance of the BIR OneHub Portal, a repository of reference materials and information.
Key points
- Contents. The portal holds, among others, a welcome banner, news story, links to Employee Services and to other government agencies, highlights, reminders, inspirational quotes, weather, and recent documents.
- Sub-sites. It has five (5) sub-sites, one each for the Office of the Commissioner, Operations Group, Legal Group, Resource Management Group, and Information Systems Group.
- Roles. A Program Steering Committee of all DCIRs and ACIRs gives overall direction. The Information Systems Group leads development, and each group’s Core Developer implements and maintains its sub-site and grants access permission to authorized users.
- Access. Authorized MS Office 365 users open the portal through Office.com and the SharePoint application, where a BIR OneHub Portal tab is available. They may also use https://birgov.sharepoint.com/sites/MainBIR.
- Security and content approval. The NMTSD prepares a Security Access Matrix, approved by the ACIR-ISDOS. The HREA of the assigned office for each group (OCIR, RMG, ISG, LG, OG) gives final approval of the content uploaded.
