RMC No. 57-2023 publishes the Updated List of Registered Manufacturers, Importers and Exporters with their product brands and variants of cigarettes, heated tobacco, vapor and novel tobacco products as of May 15, 2023.
Key points
- List categories. Annexes A to H list manufacturers of locally produced cigarettes (domestic and export), PEZA-registered cigarette manufacturers, importers of cigarettes, manufacturers and importers of vapor products, and importers of heated tobacco and novel tobacco products.
- New registrants. Entities registered after May 15, 2023 are added to the updated list on the BIR website.
- Brand and variant registration. Under RR No. 7-2021 and RR No. 14-2022, brands and variants must be registered within six (6) months from the release date of the Circular to avoid penalties.
- Product requirements. Products must carry the Graphic Health Warning and BIR Tax Stamps. The exception is vapor and novel tobacco products, for which IRSIS stamps are not yet available in the system.
