Summary
RMC No. 56-2015 clarifies the submission of the Monthly Electronic Sales (eSales) Report through the eSales Reporting System prescribed under RR No. 5-2005 and RMO No. 12-2012.
Key points
- Amending reported sales. Any amendment of the monthly sales reported requires a written justification addressed to the concerned Large Taxpayers Service investigating office or Revenue District Office. The adjusting entries must be properly recorded in the Books of Accounts.
- Validation. Monthly eSales reports are subject to validation or verification by the concerned offices if no electronic Letter of Authority (eLA) or Letter Notice (LN) has been issued covering that month. If one has been issued, an incident report on the post validation or inspection is consolidated with the ongoing audit or investigation under the eLA/LN.
- Non-compliance. Taxpayers who fail to comply with these requirements are included in the priority audit program of the concerned investigating offices.
