Summary
RMC No. 55-2004 prescribes the BIR’s policy on handling TIN Verification queries raised by companies such as credit card and telephone companies.
Key points
- How companies send inquiries. Company inquiries are raised in writing by e-mail at contact_us@cctr.bir.gov.ph, by fax at fax no. 981-7202, or by mail addressed to Commissioner Guillermo L. Parayno, Jr., Attn: BIR Contact Center (BIRCC) Manager.
- Authorized representatives. Company heads specify in writing the name and e-mail address of designated representatives, at most two, authorized to sign TIN Verification letter requests. Without a formal designation, the BIRCC does not process the company’s requests.
