Summary

RMC No. 41-2019 circularizes the enhanced BIR Form No. 1702-MX (January 2018 ENCS), the annual Income Tax Return for non-individuals with mixed income or income under special or preferential rates, starting year 2018.

Key points

  1. Who uses it. Non-individuals with mixed income subject to multiple Income Tax rates, or with income subject to a special or preferential rate, file it for year 2018, due on or before April 15, 2019.
  2. Which version to use. The new form is on www.bir.gov.ph but not yet in eBIRForms and eFPS, so those filers use the existing old version. Taxpayers who elected optional standard deduction (OSD), and General Professional Partnerships that elected OSD in the first quarter, use the manual return.
  3. Manual filing. RDOs receive manually-filed returns, with no payment or with payments made online. Manual filers download, print and completely fill out the PDF form, otherwise penalties under Sec. 250 of the Tax Code apply.
  4. Payment options. Payment is through an Authorized Agent Bank, or the Revenue Collection Officer using MRCOS where there is no AAB. Online options are GCash, the Landbank Linkbiz Portal and DBP Tax Online.
