Summary

RMC No. 37-2019 circularizes the enhanced BIR Form No. 1701, the Annual Income Tax Return for individuals (including mixed income earners), estates and trusts, January 2018 (ENCS).

Key points

  1. Who uses it and when. Individuals (including mixed income earners), estates and trusts use it to file the annual Income Tax Return and pay Income Tax starting year 2018, due on or before April 15, 2019.
  2. Availability. The manual form is on www.bir.gov.ph under the BIR Forms-Income Tax Return section. It is not yet available in eFPS and eBIRForms, so those filers download, print and completely fill out the PDF, otherwise penalties under Sec. 250 of the Tax Code, as amended, are imposed.
  3. Filing. Revenue District Offices receive the manually filed form, whether a no-payment return or a return with payments made online.
  4. Payment options. Payment goes through an Authorized Agent Bank in the RDO where registered, or the Revenue Collection Officer using the MRCOS facility where there is no AAB. Online options are GCash, the Landbank Linkbiz Portal and DBP Tax Online.
  5. Later announcement. A revenue issuance will announce when the revised form is available in eFPS or the new Offline eBIRForms Package.
