Key points

  1. Form availability. The enhanced BIR Form 1702Q is available at all Revenue District Offices and Large Taxpayers Offices and can be downloaded from www.bir.gov.ph. It is not yet available in the eFPS.
  2. Filers paying normal income tax. These filers use the existing BIR Form 1702Q in the eFPS and proceed to ePayment.
  3. Filers paying MCIT. They may file electronically using the existing online form by filling in the Special Rate Columns, and must file an amended return once the enhanced form is in the eFPS. They may instead file manually using the enhanced form with payment to an AAB in the territory of the RDO or Large Taxpayers Office of their principal office. If no payment is due, the return is filed with that RDO or office.
  4. SAWT submission. All filers submit the Summary Alphalist of Withholding Agents of Income Payments Subjected to Withholding Tax at Source (SAWT) through the BIR website’s eSUBMISSION icon, with TIN, registered name, registered address and e-mail address. Attachments follow the naming convention, with .dat or .csv files inside a .zip file.
  5. Acknowledgement. An acknowledgement receipt and validation report is sent to the taxpayer’s email within 24 hours after e-Submission of the attachments.
