Key points

1. Qualifying receipts. Official receipts, sales or cash invoices, and cash register or point of sale receipts issued beginning May 15, 2003 qualify. They must come from professionals, business or commercial establishments to consumers, for purchases of at least P 100.00. A higher purchase amount gives more raffle chances.
2. How to enter. The first entry requires the subscriber to register and text the BIR access number with name, address, the establishment’s TIN, receipt number and amount of purchase. Later entries need only the TIN, receipt number and amount.
3. Draw schedule. Qualified entries join the daily draw from June 2 to August 28, except weekends and holidays. Non-winning entries go to the Monthly Draws on June 30 and July 31, 2003 and the Anniversary Draw on August 29. Winners are chosen electronically by random-selection software.
4. Duplicate entries. A texter with several entries may win more than one prize in any draw. Several entries with the same information count as one entry, and the first texter who sent it is entitled to join.
5. Prizes. Prizes are daily consolation prizes every 4 hours, P5, 000.00 each daily for the texter and issuer, P 1 Million for the texter in the 2 monthly draws, and P 1 Million each for the texter and issuer in the anniversary draw.
6. Informer’s reward. A consumer who reports the name and address of an establishment that did not issue a receipt may be entitled to an informer’s reward. It is given only after any deficiency taxes arising from the information have been collected.
