Key points

  1. Covered transactions. Documents can be submitted to the RDOs for TIN applications under Executive Order No. 98 and One-Time Transaction, registration of Overseas Filipino Workers and Non-Resident Citizens, and Authority to Print. Other covered transactions are email address updates using Form S1905, transfer of registration of employees and other non-business taxpayers, and updating of maiden name for a married female.
  2. How to apply. The applicant accesses the TRRA Portal through the BIR eServices icon at https://www.bir.gov.ph/. Documents are scanned as PDF files of not more than 4MB each, then the application type and RDO are selected and the “Email your Application” button is clicked. For a TIN application, the system picks the RDO from the address given.
  3. If the email program does not open. The applicant sends the scanned documents to the email address shown in the TRRA Portal for the selected RDO.
  4. Acknowledgement and result. The RDO’s official email address sends an acknowledgement within three (3) working days from the date of the email acknowledgement receipt of complete documents. An email notification follows once processing succeeds, and a BIR officer contacts the taxpayer if requirements are incomplete or there are issues.
