Key points
- What to present. For emergency cases and hospital confinement, the patient presents a BIR ID, or a certification signed by the Commissioner or the Deputy Commissioner for Resource Management. A signed written referral request is also required.
- Discounts. CGHMC grants 50% off room occupancy charges and 30% off laboratory, pulmonary and x-ray services. Blood related laboratory procedures, the embedded Professional Fee in Arterial Blood Gas and the x-ray handling fee are not discounted.
- Order of benefits and coverage. The discounts apply after all government benefits, including Philhealth and Senior Citizen’s discounts. The privilege also covers out-patient medical services but not the cost of medicines.
