Key points

  1. Who must update. All taxpayers who intend to transact online through ORUS once it is available, and those now transacting registration matters manually, update their records such as e-mail address and contact information.
  2. Form to use. Taxpayers use the S1905 – Registration Update Sheet (RUS), available at the Client Support Section of the RDO and on the BIR website (www.bir.gov.ph) under the Advisory Section. The RUS may be submitted by e-mail to the RDO where the taxpayer is registered.
  3. E-mail address. The designated e-mail must be the taxpayer’s official e-mail address. The BIR uses it to serve orders, notices, letters and other processes and communications.
  4. Order of updating. Head Office registration is updated before branches. Employers inform their employees about this requirement.

Who is affected

  • Taxpayers who will enroll in ORUS
