Key points
- Fees and payment. Business taxpayers registering through the CBP pay the Annual Registration Fee (ARF) of ₱500.00 and the loose Documentary Stamp Tax (DST) of ₱30.00, either electronically or manually.
- Electronic Certificate of Registration. Taxpayers who pay through e-Payment channels can print their electronic COR with a QR Code on A4 bond paper through the CBP. It has the same purpose as the signed hard copy and is posted, with the validated proof of ARF payment, in a place visible to the public at the principal place of business.
- Manual payment. Taxpayers who pay manually complete registration at their RDO by presenting the printed CBP Unified Form (Annex B1 for corporations and partnerships, Annex B2 for sole proprietors), the Tax Type Questionnaire (Annex C) and the pre-filled BIR Form No. 0605 (Annex D), with the Checklist of Documentary Requirements (Annex A).
- Next steps at the RDO. All CBP registrants go to the RDO named in the electronic COR to complete registration and to buy BIR Printed Receipts/Invoices or secure an Authority to Print before their own receipts or invoices can be printed by BIR Accredited Printers. Books of accounts are registered on or before the deadline for the initial quarterly Income Tax Return or the annual Income Tax Return, whichever comes earlier.
- Corrections to the COR. Corrections to the returns or tax types on the electronic COR require an update by the taxpayer with the RDO. The RDO reviews the registered tax and form types in IRIS-TRS, updates them if needed, and replaces the COR if necessary upon issuing receipts or invoices or the Authority to Print.
