RMC No. 112-2016: Publishes the full text of Executive Order No. 05, approving and adopting the 25-year Long-Term Vision entitled “AMBISYON NATIN 2040 as Guide for Development Planning”

1. The vision for 2040. By 2040, the Philippines shall be a prosperous, predominantly middle-class society where no one is poor. The people shall live long and healthy lives, be smart and innovative, and live in a high-trust society.
2. Government goals. The government aims to triple real per capita income and eradicate hunger and poverty by 2040, if not sooner. The four (4) medium-term Philippine Development Plans to be crafted until 2040 are anchored on Ambisyon Natin 2040.
3. Consistency of plans. All plans of government departments, offices and instrumentalities, including government-owned or controlled corporations and local government units, must be consistent with Ambisyon Natin 2040.
