Key points
- Extended validity. The receipts and invoices remain valid until August 30, 2013. After that date they are no longer valid.
- Application deadline unchanged. The deadline for applying to print new receipts to replace them stays at April 30, 2013. Applications received after that date are late and carry penalties for late filing.
- Surrender of old stock. Unused receipts and invoices are surrendered to the RDO where the taxpayer is registered on or before the 10th day after the date of printing shown on the new receipts. That date is the expiration date of the old ones.
- Use after expiry. Issuing them after August 30, 2013 is treated as issuing an invalid receipt or none at all, and as a violation of Section 264 of the NIRC. The transactions are not properly substantiated and may not be allowed as a deduction.
