Key points
- What eREG covers. The system provides online issuance of a Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) for self-employed individuals and an online facility to pay the Annual Registration Fee. It also generates the Certificate of Registration (COR).
- Self-employed individuals. Single proprietors, professionals and mixed income earners are advised to get their own TIN through eREG and pay the applicable Registration Fee using its payment facility. Identified users under RMO No. 26-2009 may access the system through the eREG icon at www.bir.gov.ph.
- Employers. Registered employers may enroll online by accomplishing the online registration form.
- Government agencies. Only interested Government Agencies and Instrumentalities (GAIs) must apply for access, using BIR Form No. 0044 with a Letter of Intent signed by the head of office, filed with the RDO where the GAI is registered. The RDO forwards these to the Taxpayer Assistance Service, Attention: Taxpayer Service Programs and Monitoring Division (TSPMD), for evaluation and processing.
