  1. Theme and objectives. The theme is “Demand-Driven Statistics: Key to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) Development”. The celebration aims to build nationwide awareness of the importance of statistics and gain public support in upgrading the quality and standards of statistics.
  2. Participation. All government agencies and their regions and field offices are enjoined to take part through activities such as symposia, workshops, orientation seminars, exhibits, slide shows and publication of statistical reports and indicators, with emphasis on the theme.
  3. BIR offices. Each Revenue Region and District Office is requested to provide its own NSM streamer, displayed at the building facade throughout October. BIR employees may coordinate with participating agencies in their areas on activities to join.
